1. Overview

Repostly ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password.

Usage data: YouTube URLs you submit, the post styles you select, and the generated posts are stored to power your dashboard history.

Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details — only a subscription status and Stripe customer ID.

Technical data: We may collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and performance monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, receipts)
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • To improve and personalize the Service based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers to deliver the Service:

  • Supabase — database and authentication hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — AI content generation
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy. Your data is only shared with these providers to the extent necessary to deliver the Service.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generation history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting compliance.

6. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may affect your ability to use the Service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
