Our Approach to AI

Repostly uses AI to help content creators work faster — not to replace their voice or deceive audiences. We believe AI tools should be transparent, responsible, and used in ways that genuinely help people. This page explains how AI is used in our Service and what that means for you.

How We Use AI

Repostly uses the Anthropic Claude API to process YouTube video transcripts and generate LinkedIn post drafts. Specifically, the AI:

• Reads the transcript of a YouTube video you submit
• Identifies key ideas, stories, and insights from the content
• Rewrites this information in different LinkedIn post formats (story, insight, list, hot take, how-to)

The AI does not browse the internet, access external sources, or fabricate information. All output is derived from the transcript of the video you provide.

AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Posts generated by Repostly are AI-assisted drafts. They are intended as a starting point, not a finished product. You are responsible for:

• Reviewing all AI-generated content before publishing
• Ensuring accuracy, tone, and factual correctness
• Adding your own perspective, voice, and disclosures where appropriate
• Complying with LinkedIn's Community Policies on AI-generated content

We recommend disclosing AI assistance to your audience where relevant, in line with evolving platform norms and professional best practices.

Content We Will Not Generate

Our AI is configured to refuse generation of content that:

• Is hateful, discriminatory, or harasses individuals or groups
• Promotes violence or illegal activity
• Constitutes spam, misleading advertising, or financial fraud
• Violates copyright or intellectual property rights

These restrictions are enforced by both our system prompts and Anthropic's usage policies.

Data Sent to AI

When you submit a YouTube URL, we extract the video's publicly available transcript and send it to the Claude API along with your selected post style preferences. We do not send your account email, payment information, or any personally identifiable information to the AI API.

Anthropic processes this data under their own Privacy Policy.

Platform Terms Compliance

YouTube: We only access publicly available video transcripts via YouTube's standard mechanisms. We do not download video files or violate YouTube's Terms of Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to repurpose the content of any video you submit.

LinkedIn: AI-generated posts published to LinkedIn must comply with LinkedIn's User Agreement and Community Policies. Repostly is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.

Accuracy & Hallucinations

AI language models can occasionally produce inaccurate, outdated, or misleading statements — a phenomenon known as "hallucination." While our prompts are designed to ground the AI's output in the video transcript, you should always verify factual claims before publishing, especially for technical, medical, legal, or financial topics.
